Alfred Nuttall Memorial Kindergarten is communicating with the Department of Education and the Early Learning Association of Australia to ensure we are up to date with the latest information and expectations regarding COVID-19 as it relates specifically to the delivery of our kindergarten program.
Families are encouraged to refer to the Department of Human Services Coronavirus website for up to date information on COVID-19 and to follow Government advice regarding proper hygiene practices, social distancing and isolation requirements. We also remind families not to send your child to kindergarten if they are unwell or if they (any member of their immediate family) are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus (such as fever, shortness of breath or flu like symptoms e.g. coughing, sore throat and fatigue).
Parent-Teacher interviews were due to take place in the first few weeks of Term 2.
Teachers will look to arrange an alternative set up (e.g. potentially phone call interviews) and communication to enable everyone to books times will be sent out to families early in the term.
If you have any questions or any concerns please email our president Victoria or our director Paola. If you have questions that relate more specifically to your child’s development please direct these to the usual Alfred Nuttall email address, but note that any correspondence coming through to the kinder address during the school holiday will not be answered until Term 2.
We thank all families for your support and involvement in Term 1 and congratulate the children on a wonderful start to the year, particularly given the more challenging circumstances and uncertainty that we have been presented with.
