The kinder is managed by a committee of management comprised of volunteer parents.  The committee of management meets monthly and consults widely with parents and all staff and has a good working relationship with Darebin Council.  The committee oversees the day to day operations of the kinder as well as manages and implements new projects and ensures compliance by the kinder of its various regulatory obligations through subcommittees.  New parents are welcome to join the committee or a subcommittee and new ideas and parent involvement in the management of the kinder is enthusiastically encouraged.

The kinder is an incorporated association run in accordance with the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Act).  The kinder operates under the rules adopted by the kinder. A copy of the rules are available for review at the kinder.

The committee of management is made up of parents and the following positions are elected each year at the AGM:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Minutes secretary
  • Quality Standards Co-ordinator
  • Family and Community Participation Co-ordinator
  • Fee Collection Officer
  • Payroll Officer
  • Enrolment Officer
  • Website and Intranet Administrator
  • General Members x 2

The committee meets once every month to manage the operations of the kinder and to consider and implement new projects and policies.  The committee is responsible for ensuring the kinder remains compliant with its regulatory obligations.

The committee will delegate certain projects from time to time to a subcommittee.

New parents are welcome to join the committee and will receive nomination information following enrolment.
