Our kinder is managed by a committee of management, which is staffed by locals, mainly parents, who volunteer and commit their time to the management of the kinder.
The committee consults widely with parents and staff and works closely with Darebin Council. It meets once a month and is responsible for ensuring the kinder complies with its regulatory obligations.
The committee is made up of the following positions, which are elected each November at the AGM:
- Minutes Secretary
- Quality Standards Coordinator
- Family and Community Participation Coordinator
- Fee Collection Officer
- Payroll Officer
- Website and Intranet Administrator
- Grants Coordinator
- General Members x 2
Certain tasks and projects are delegated to subcommittees.
New parents are encouraged to join the committee or a subcommittee. Information on nominations is shared in October after enrolments.
The kinder is an incorporated association run in accordance with the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012.
